Project 2: Designing with Architectural Principles + Materiality
Brief: In a group of 2, we are required to design an architecture folly considering timber as the main architecture materiality that provides an interesting spatial experience for the users to reflect on themselves and engage with the nature surrounding it during this pandemic by using previously gathered architectural principles.
Outcome: A set of manually drawn architectural drawings with a scale of 1:50 for floor plan, sections and elevations while detail drawing in scale 1:5 aided with orthographic drawings that are able to communicate complex spatial arrangements visually, also a series of diagrams with narration to explain the spatial experience of the scale 1:50 model.

SELF REFLECTION
The second assessment has challenged me to step out of my boundary in the design thinking process whereby I need to think critically about generating the design ideas at the same time I need to make sure that my opinion is accepted by my working partner, Teoh Jing Rou. Luckily, she has the characteristic of being a good team member where she shared her opinions and ideas openly, focuses on tasks, shared responsibilities and we had a common goal. I am glad that we were able to accomplish the assignment successfully although sometimes we did have different opinions in terms of translating the ideas into a tectonic structure we still manage to have a meet-up for face-to-face discussion during this pandemic. I hope in the future that we could still work together.
